Kelsey Schubach received a B.S. in Animal Sciences from Oregon State University (OSU) in 2014. She completed her M.S. degree (Animal Sciences) at OSU in September 2016, and immediately began a Ph.D. program under the supervision of Dr. Reinaldo Cooke. During her M.S. program, Kelsey authored and co-authored 5 journal articles, 2 proceedings papers, and 6 professional meeting abstracts. She contributed significantly to all branches of the Land-Grant system: research, Extension, and teaching. Kelsey assisted Dr. Cooke in his duties as statewide Beef Cattle Specialist, including the Beef Forage Evaluation Program and Extension workshops. Kelsey also served as teaching assistant for undergraduate classes in the Dept. of Animal and Rangeland Sciences. Upon graduation, Kelsey’s goal is to work as a researcher/Extension specialist to use the knowledge she obtained throughout her education to develop strategies that improve the beef production system.
