Jim Drouillard, American Feed Industry Association Award in Ruminant Nutrition Research

Dr. Jim Drouillard received B.S. and M.S. degrees from the University of Florida in 1985 and 1986, respectively. He earned his doctoral degree from the University of Nebraska in 1989.
Drouillard worked as nutritionist, product manager, and research director in the commercial feed industry for six years before joining the faculty of Kansas State University in 1995 as professor of Feedlot Cattle Nutrition.
During the last 10 years, Dr. Drouillard has authored 67 peer-reviewed manuscripts, four patents, over 200 abstracts and experiment station reports, and has been principal investigator for grants exceeding $5,000,000. He has been an invited speaker for scientific and industry conferences in over a dozen countries on five contents, has served as major advisor for more than 30 M.S., PhD, and post-doctoral programs, and he has mentored dozens of undergraduate student research projects.
