Steven A. Zinn, ASAS Fellow: Administration Category

Dr. Steven A. Zinn has been a member of ASAS since 1982 and his service to ASAS began as secretary, vice president and president of the Northeast Section beginning in 1992. Since then he has served many roles as an administrator within ASAS. At the national level, he has served on many committees including ASAS Board of Directors, the ASAS Executive Committee, Steering and Program Committees of the ASAS/EAAP Biology of Lactation Workshop, Ways and Means Committee, award committees, and chaired the ad hoc Ethics Committee. Dr. Zinn was an Associate Editor and then Division Editor of the Growth, Physiology and Reproduction Division of the Journal of Animal Science. Dr. Zinn served as the Editor-in-Chief of JAS from 2008 to 2013 and he was instrumental in the development and publication of Animal Frontiers and currently serves as Editor-in-Chief. Dr. Zinn is the Head of the Department of Animal Science at UConn, and maintains a research program and teaching duties.
