Don Kress, ASAS Fellow: Research Category

Dr. Don Kress was raised on a beef cattle ranch in Idaho and earned the Ph.D. (1969) degree in Animal Science and Genetics at the University of Wisconsin. He joined the Animal and Range Sciences Department at Montana State University in 1970. He was named Associate Dean in 2001. Kress’ research program is a model of excellence. His productivity is evidenced by over 200 scientific and technical publications and over 100 abstracts. The quality of his work and respect of his peers are seen from his many invited scientific presentations throughout the world and his appointment to editorial boards and CSRS review panels. The relevance of his work to practical beef production systems is seen by his many invited presentations to producer groups in 14 states. </p>
