A Giving Partner's Message
"Like many Animal Science graduate students, I was first introduced to ASAS at the Annual meeting. I quickly learned about the main publication, the Journal of Animal Science and for years I only thought of ASAS as a meeting and a journal. I have since learned that it is so much more.
ASAS is a community of driven, focused people from a diverse set of backgrounds and identities working to enhance animal care and production. This is accomplished through an array of activities that include public policy advocation and the numerous efforts supported through the ASAS Foundation. This community has given me most of my closest friends and allies in working to enhance the sustainability of livestock production. Additionally, through the continued discourse via meetings and other ASAS activities, I have been forced to grow as a person as well as a scientist. I couldn’t imagine a place that is more welcoming and suited to help push positive growth within a young, developing group of scientists.
Through ASAS, I have had the opportunity to develop skills that have advanced my career. As ASAS members, we have all been fortunate enough to cultivate invaluable skills that have played a pivotal role in our professional growth. It is a tremendous privilege for us to uplift the next generation of aspiring animal scientists. Together, we have the power to make a profound impact by supporting the ASAS Foundation. I invite you to join me in making a charitable contribution to the ASAS Foundation, ensuring that our shared dream continues to flourish for generations to come."
