How precision livestock farming can increase producers profitability?

The continued increase in world population and demand for more animal products is old news. What isn't old news and will continue to require the advancement in knowledge, are successful techniques used by producers to mitigate this challenge. One byproduct of this mitigation has been the overwhelming increase in herd numbers. Because of this, animal welfare and productivity have become harder for our producers to manage. Precision livestock farming allows producers to enhance the welfare and productivity of their animals through individual monitoring and management. This technology uses an array of electronics including cameras, microphones, sensors and the internet.

Please join us Friday July 6, 2018 at the World Congress on Animal Production, where researchers from around the world will discuss ways precision livestock farming can increase the producers profitability.
