USE OF ASAS DATA COLLECTED VIA THE ASAS WEBSITE

ASAS gathers three types of information about members, non-members, and visitors through the ASAS website:

  • Data that are provided through updating member records.
    • Aggregated tracking data provided by server logs. Your IP address is used to gather broad demographic information and to help diagnose problems with our server and to administer our web site. Our server logs may also collect information about the URL that referred you to ASAS as well as which pages receive the most traffic. This information helps us offer personalized information to members, non-members, and visitors and to better tailor our future content to member, non-member, and visitor needs.
    • Registration forms and online purchases of from ASAS. We collect site visitors’ personal contact information (like name and address) and financial information (credit card number). Contact information is used for administrative purposes. Non-members and visitors who register for an ASAS event may receive notification of other upcoming events or promotions that may be of interest. Financial information collected is used only to bill the member visitor for products and services ordered. And is handled within the standards set in our CSIP.

ASAS may provide aggregated demographic and site usage information to third parties such as site sponsors. All data provided to third parties is subject to the policies detailed in the ASAS CSIP. ASAS provides limited information from registration forms to Joint Annual Meeting exhibitors and sponsors at the conclusion of each event as follows: Registrant name, company, city and state/province, and country.
